It’s a Girl!!!!

There’s not much more I can say so I will let you see the pictures.

Your pregnancy: 18 weeks

See the big picture

How your baby’s growing:

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He’s busy flexing his arms and legs ā€” movements that you’ll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they’re still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he’s born. If you’re having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you’re having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

I am so excited!!!

I actually did do some packing yesterday. I might try to do some more tonight. I don’t know. I’m just so excited. Now I can say she instead of it.

I’m soo happy for you Joan !! How excellent !! Now about the Pink ….Lavander is really cute on girls too,if you get tired of seeing Pink . Actually ,the two pastels work nicely together !! I know this to be true cuz I have two daughters ,and 4 granddaughters . If the baby’s skin tone is really fair, blonde, a pretty ‘baby green’ looks really nice too. Just think of all the cute Spring clothes…I went CRAZY OUT OF MY MIND when I’d go shopping with my girls. BABY NIKES Joan !! Oh your gonna LOVE THIS !! I can re-live it all again through you ! Have a super week!

Squeeeee! This is so exciting! I’m like, quivering just a bit in my chair at the office. Look at those feet, that’s amazing!

My friend has her sonograms on her fridge for her en route wee one, and she’s got one that looks similar to the last one here, just the curve of the spine. But folded under that one was the second shot from that day, which was a full frontal face shot, it looks like a skeleton baby! She thinks it looks creepy, I think it looks nifty.

I’ll have to remember, 18 weeks is when you can start to tell the gender. I don’t want to know! When it’s my turn, I’ll ask to see the foot/head/spine/non-gender-type-area shots only!

OMG, that’s a foot! I can already imaging her sense of entitlement:
“Oh, thank you so much for moving into a new house for me, and providing a full-time grandmother for me (when she can tear herself away from blogging or terrorizing the Vineyard with her cane).”
All well deserved, of course. How exciting!

Ok, I’ve been out of the loop for awhile, so I decide to visit your blog, and what do I see? “Oh my God, Joan is having a baby!”.

Oh….granddaughter. I get it now. Cool. Congratulations.

BTW, I noticed your weight ticker. Double congrats! I’ve thought of doing something like that myself, but so far I haven’t had the guts or the sense of commitment. Seriously, if you have time, send me an email and let me know how you’re doing it. Nothing I’ve tried has ever worked. :>(
