Another Award I forgot About!

I need a memory transplant. JavaJunkee gave me this awesome award and I absolutely forgot about it. I even thanked her for it and forgot about that too. I may have no memory but evidently I have great blogging friends. JavaJunkee has one of my favorite blogs because she is a crazy woman like me. I just love craziness. I guess that’s why we are soul sisters. Someday she’s going to make a road trip and come to Massachusetts.  Thank you so much JJ.

Now, again, I have to pass it on. I’ve chosen another new blogging buddy, MV Obsession. This is a woman who knows and loves Martha’s Vineyard which is going to be my new island home. As she puts it she is a Vineyard-a-holic.   I’m learning  all about my new home to be from her.  She doesn’t live there now but she really loves the place and hopefully I will too.

I Took a Vacation! Awards!!!

…away from weight watchers and gained back 4.6 pounds. BUT__I am back on track. I missed the last three meetings but I went today, thank goodness. I sort of went nuts during the holidays–a downright sugar overload. I think I caught it quick before it got out of control.

I received some awards recently and am only now posting about them.. I am such a dumbass.. I should have done this before but for some unknown reason(actually my bad memory) I am doing it now.

First from Javaqueen. JavaQueen is one of my favorite, no nonsense, bloggers. She doesn’t take any shit and we love her honesty. To me, honesty is one of the most important things. Just tell me like it is. Thank you so much JQ. You are the bomb and I say that only in a good way. Love Ya!!!

Next one is from my favorite bead lady and that is The Bead Den. This lady can work her fingers with those beads. She also writes about lots of other cool stuff including politics and this woman loves Christmas. She gave me so many great ideas for Christmas crafts this year. I thank her very much for this award.

The last one is from Crone and Bear It. She is one of my newest blog buddies. She has a great sense of humor and blogs about everything. Like me she is retired and loving it. I look forward to getting to know her better. I would also like to thank her a lot for this award.

Now I am supposed to pass these on. I sometimes don’t like to do that because I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings but I am going to pass these on. If I don’t pick you this time I am sure I will pick you sometime. You know I love ya!!

The first one, The Gold Card award, I pass on to Little Miss Sew & Sew. She is the sweetest, most awesome and understanding lady around. She has also inspired me with her weight loss efforts. She is one hot mama! She also sews up a storm.

The second award, The Butterfly Award ,I pass on to the newly married, beautiful Birdpress. What a sweetheart she is. Always a nice word for everybody. I am really happy to call her a friend.

The last award, The One Lovely Blog Award, I pass on to Teeni. I know she gets awards a lot but she deserves every single one and I know you will all agree with me. You can’t help but love her wonderfulness. You can always count on her if you need a friend to talk to.

Well with that done I am going to stop here. All that linking is hard work. Ha! Ha! I’m watching “Field of Dreams” for the umpteenth time. I love that movie.

Oops! Another Award!!

Wow, I got another award.  This time it was from Annie over at Writer Chick Talks.

I can understand why she got the award.  She is a brillante writer.  I love using that new word I learned.  Annie is shining and bright and brilliant all rolled into one.

Here’s the scoop on the award itself:
The Oops award was created and is to be given to bloggers who inspire others with their humor and their talents, also for contributing to the blogging world in whatever medium. When you receive this award it is considered a “special honor”. Once you have received this award, you are to pass it on to others.”

The rules for passing this honor on:

First one goes to “Three Boys One Mommy”

Now this is a woman who has her work cut out for her.  She has three beautiful young boys and still finds the time to write a humorous blog.  She must be SuperMommy to do that.  Her sons are adorable. She posts pictures of them so we get to see their cuteness. I’m surprised she hasn’t had to have Supernanny come to her house but she seems to have a good handle on the mommy thing. She could probably teach Jo Frost a thing or two.

Next is Sheng at “Anything Goes”

The following is her byline and I think this tells so much about her.

Sheng is a young  woman from the Philippines about my daughter’s age. She writes with passion and feeling. I find her to be such a beautiful young lady both inside and out. She also cooks good and posts pics of her food.

Next is Laura from “Sew at Sea”

She does a lot more than sew. She’s beautiful and intends to live on a boat with her man, Hans, next year.  She has a daughter, Vet Tech Girl.  She’s got a great sense of humor and I love her story of how she met Hans.  She makes the most beautiful bags.  Oh, and she has cats.  We know I love cats.

Next is Jeanny from “Startin’ a New Life”

She is another young woman from the Philippines.  She loves to bake and cook.  She loves her hubby DJ. She is so cute with her wonderful smile.  I love to read her blog and see what she is up to.

The last award is to someone special but she had a problem with someone harassing her on her blog so she hasn’t given out her new blog address to many yet so I want to keep her anonymity for her.  I will go to her blog and let her know.  She is a wonderful woman with a great husband and young children and lives on the opposite side of the world from me.  So because of this I won’t leave a link but I want her to have the award.  There really is someone. I’m not making this up because I didn’t want to give out five awards. 😉

I’ll be posting about the wedding Luau I went to last night which includes video of me Cane-Fu dancing, video of sexy hula dancers and video of my daughter and her friends learning a hula dance.  I will also tell you of the lapdance that I got at the bar we went to afterwards.

An Award and Tea!! Awards Go To Writerchick, Peter Parkour, Dropofkim, Mrs. Vierkant, Romi, Birdpress, Joy, Fighting Windmills, and Last But Not Least The Wonderful Di.

I woke up this morning and as usual went right to my computer and found I had received an award from MusEditions.

What a wonderful thing to wake up to.  MusEditions’  blog is awesome and she and I have a lot of interests in common.  She also gets me thinking. I need to think. My brain needs the practice.

Now, MusEditions is brilliant.  Me, I am not so sure.  But since I love awards I happily accepted it.  The bad part about getting an award is handing it out to only 8 people when I want to give it to everyone. I think all my blogger friends are brilliant so it will be hard to choose.  But here goes.

Oh, don’t forget you are supposed to hand it out to 8 more people but that is all up to you.

I put the names of the recipients in the title of this post in hopes that I could save myself time and not have to go to each of their websites to inform them.  Just being lazy. We’ll see how it works.

Another young lady I would like to steal from her mom, Trisha over at “Talkin’ Trash With Trisha”.  Birdpress is a wonderful dog groomer and is planning her wedding.  I wish I was there to help her.  I loved helping my daughter plan her wedding.  Birdpress is another one of my blogger daughters though she doesn’t need my protection because she has J to do that for her.

I don’t even know how to describe her.  She is like a Magical Faerie.  She is so full of love that it pops out of her blog.  She has two children and a grandson.  She seems to enjoy life to the fullest.  She loves going to music festivals, sleeping under the stars, and traveling. She says she’s more of a rambler rather than writer but I love her ramblings. She also says she gravitates towards madness.  Maybe that’s what we have in common. Crazy madness!

OK, Now I am really done.

Now the Tea thing.  MusEditions took this quiz to find out what kind of tea you are.  She turned out to be Green tea.  This is where I show my non- brilliance.  I couldn’t figure out how to get the results on my blog.  Muse could, hence her brilliance.
