7.8

That’s right people I lost 7.8 pounds this week.  I actually was a little in shock  after the weigh in.  I know some of it is water weight but who cares,  it counts.  I know I won’t do that every week but it’s a nice start.

I wrote down every single drop of food that went into my mouth including 1 tablespoon of Quiche that I had made for Sarah and her hubby.  I also went out to lunch today with the family and Lilah’s other grandmother.  I had a grilled chicken sandwich and actually had them hold the cheese.  I love cheese.  It’s in my top 5 foods I love.  I could have had it and counted the points but I kept thinking how much food I could have later for the same number of points.  It became a no brainer.

Of course the leader of the meeting brought up my weight loss to everyone in the room which means I have to lose something this week so I don’t look like a wuss.

I used the spell checker on this and according to the checker the word “weigh” is spelled wrong.  I really can’t come up with any other way to spell it.

That’s totally awesome, Joan! Good for you. That must make you feel just wonderful and so motivated to keep it up! I have two of the pounds you lost – I was up 2.0 today and I’m so frustrated. I have to start tracking every little thing again. I’ve been lazy. And stressed. I know I’ve been stress eating.

Stress eating is so difficult not to do. Eating great comfort food is definitely comforting. I just don’t get the same feeling sipping on vegetable broth. BUT_ once I finally get to a decent weight it will all be worth it. Look at you, actually thinking of running a 12k. That, too, is awesomely awesome.

WOWSER!! Go you! That is freakin’ awesome, I don’t care if it’s water weight or not, it’s still amazing and what a fantastic “start” (or restart) you have made!
“Hold the cheese” … now that’s saying something, alright! Not an easy thing to do.
You are inspiring, as always. Keep up the great work, Joan.

    WAY TO GO JOAN! 🙂
Ok, now you have shamed, I mean motivated me into jumping back on the band wagon! I will stop eating ice cream after everyone goes to bed. I will also eat smaller portions! I tend to eat for two even though the last time I was pregnant was almost 10 1/2 years ago!
    Keep up the good work!

Great job! The first week back on track is always so encouraging, because you shock your body into losing so much weight! (the same thing happened to me last week too 🙂 )

I think I hate you! (LOL) Fantastic! But isn’t 2# per week the Weight Watchers maximum healthy weight to lose per week? Anyway, congrats! Keep up the good work!

Hi Joan ! Reducing weight is no joke we all know it. My best wishes with you however I would like to say that don’t feel guilty if someday you eat cheese burger! You can burn that calorie / fat by your firm determination to do so..Also when Lilah will grow little older, like when she is able to crawl and you will have to run after her from room to room, your weight will reduce on its own ..!

Congrats sweetie – that’s quite an accomplishment! I love hearing others’ weight loss good news stories because it gives me hope that I’ll keep losing, too. I did manage to drop 12 pounds in the last 3 weeks, but it was due to a horrid case of shingles which left me so weak and ill I couldn’t even begin to eat. Now that I’m on the mend some of those pounds are magically reappearing (drat) and I will go back to my usual dieting once again. Hugs and blessings!

Kudos to your will power, especially with the cheese! I’m in love with cheese, and I know its bad for me but sometimes still eat fistfulls of shredded mozarella out of the bag when I’m waiting for my pasta to heat up.

Oh man, I feel unhealthy just describing that, somebody get me some broccoli! 😛
