Ha! Ha! You’re Stuck With Me!! I’m Going To Live!!

I just got back from the Doctor and grocery shopping.  I’ve known My Doctor for years and I brought her some recipes she asked for months ago.  She’s great because she doesn’t rush you out the door. She even talks about her personal life to me. Anyway, when I told her my symptoms she didn’t skip a beat and said she knew positively that it was because I am slowly lowering my doses of prednisone and valium.  She said there is a nerve back there that probably, sort of, went to sleep for a while because of the valium and by cutting down on it said nerve is waking up. She said it will work itself out.  So, I guess I’m not going to have a stroke or have a blood clot explode and I probably don’t have a tumor.

I guess there aren’t any appropriate photos to post for tumors and blood clots so no photos. No, wait I do have a picture and I am adding now.

The inside of my doctor’s office.  See, I do bring my camera everywhere.

    Great news from the doc!
I will admit it..I have done some Christmas shopping already. If I find something throughout the year I buy it and stash it away.

Actually I have bought one present for Sarah this summer. My daughter does a lot of her shopping in the summer.

Well that is a relief it is nothing serious! Hope that nerve sorts itself out super quick too.

Happy Birthday, Sean Connery! Isn’t he lovely?

Sean Connery is one of my favorites. Well, at least I know it’s a nerve thing and I’m not a time bomb ready to explode.

Very glad to hear the good news, Joan! Phew!
I love your header today. 🙂
    I don’t buy gifts but I love decorating! 🙂

We like to decorate here too. We also do a lot of baking for gifts. I do buy Sarah stuff though and Damon too but not much these days.

I’m so glad you have a nice doctor that talks to you and even tells you stuff about her own personal life. It sounds like she is pretty perceptive about the whole nerve thing. I’m so glad it isn’t anything more serious. Now take it easy from all that partying! LOL

My Doctor is great. She’s been both my and Sarah’s doctor for at least 15 years or more. R&R for the rest of the week.

I was reading about your tingly head in another post of yours, so I am so glad to hear you’re going to be okay! 🙂

And don’t worry, partying it up is what life’s all about…there is always time for memes and sleep later 😉

I certainly have done my fair share of partying this summer. I think I made up for the past 8 years of non-partying.

Glad to hear you’re going to live! And thanks for sparing us the pics of the blood clots. 😉

Thanks, smith. I looked up photos for tumors and blood clots and decided they were even too gross for me.

Hehe, you are funny, did your doctor ever saw you taking a shot of the clinic?

I gave you an award at my place too. Love you Joan!

Ha! Ha! I took the photo while I was alone in the room waiting and waiting and waiting for her. Also, thank you so much for the award, Sheng. By the Way, I finally mailed that post card to you yesterday.

That Iran the Terrible is one bad lookin’ dude, but did you see that sweet cane he has. 😛 Glad to hear you’re alright. 😉 I can sleep peacefully now. 🙂 Christmas shopping? We start the day after Christmas, and if we’re luck get done on Christmas Eve.

To be honest, I didn’t even notice the cane. I just kept staring at his scary face. That cane is awesome. I wonder if the original is somewhere in a Russian museum. I love your way of Christmas shopping. I’m glad I’m well so that you can sleep. We don’t want any tired truckers on the road.

    Glad you are A-okay! 🙂

I saw you changed your header to a bunch of Christmas clip art thingies and so I clicked on the “header explanation” and it said, “Going to a Luau tonight”. Well, that explains it! 😛

Ha! Ha! I forgot to change the header explanation. I think I’ll just leave it the way it is. It makes sense to you and me, right?

in the philippines, we celebrate christmas rather early. soon as the “BER” months are in, we start decorating. so next month, you can expect to hear christmas carols from radio station. 🙂

in amsterdam, there’s a christmas shop selling christmas thingamajigs 365 days a year. i’ll look up where i stashed my picture in front of that shop. in front, they have a board with the christmas countdown. 🙂

good to hear you are well and healthy joan, and you are lucky, seldom you can find doctors who don’t shove you out the door. 🙂

I’d love to see the photo of you in front of the Christmas shop. I really don’t want to think of Christmas until at least the end of November. My Doctor is so great. I am very lucky.

    oh ! Joans of everything,

You make me laugh so much – took a picture of the doctors surgery. Joan darling you so don’t know how similar we are with what we do in our day.

Thank goodness your going to live and dear with your spirit and energy I think we’ll have our friend for a while yet.

I hope the coming down on the medication is okey. Valium is quiet a drug as Im sure you know. Its the most addictive one and if not managed when coming off it can create lots of difficulties – Yes ! Sounds like you got a great Doctor.

Dont mention christmas please. Ha ! Although I have seen some books and Joan my dear you came to mind. Eat your way to happiness 49 pence each.

I might just buy all my friends that book. What a lovely present for 49 pence. I did buy one, I’ll take a picture of it for you Joan.

Darling party till you drop. hehe!! Rest is always round the corner.
    Love
    Di

Ps. Why was Ivan so terrible.

Ivan was the first tsar of Russia. His reign started out OK but as he got older he suffered from mental illness and terrible fits of rage. During one fit he beat his daughter-in-law and got into an argument with his oldest son, his heir, and hit him on the head and the son died. Ivan did a lot of killing during the last part of his reign.

I’m sure not thinking too much about Christmas yet. I won’t start any shopping until the end of November. That book sounds like a good deal.

My doctor is weaning me off the valium very slowly so I haven’t really noticed anything.

I had to sneak in one photo that day. Ha! Ha!

    xoxo
    Joan

I’m particularly glad you are not going to explode, Joan. In addition to it depriving me of the pleasure of reading your blog, think what a mess for Sarah! 🙂

That’s too funny. Your right, Sarah hates a mess. Plus she’d have to cook her own meals. Yikes!!

Yes, I’m glad to know my brain isn’t going to explode. One less thing to worry about.

So glad that you are okay! **phew** I’m happy to be stuck with you. 😉 BTW, I don’t want any reminders about Christmas. It’ll make me look like Ivan the Terrible, LOL.

Yea, I don’t much want to think about Christmas but I’ll bet we see the first Christmas ads on TV next month. Then we’ll both look like Ivan!!!
