Another Video Interview of Myself With Your Questions!!!

Well, I did it again.  I interviewed myself.  I answered the first four bloggers’  questions which means there will be more videos to come so I can answer all your questions.

Again, I did it in one take so you get to see all the mistakes too.

I said the word “Freakin” three times so rate this how you will. There are no other questionable words.

Okay Joanie, so is there any question why I call you Joan of Fun? now? I think not. I have to say it was wonderful just to see you animated, talking and being yourself. You are as I had imagined you, real, funny, honest, a doll. I really loved this. Thanks for doing.

PS: Here’s my question when are you going to write a gut-splitting, funny memoir yourself?

I have actually thought of putting some type of book together now that I have so much time on my hands. I like to keep busy. I’m glad you enjoyed my silly video. Well I’d rather be remembered as “Joan of Fun” than “Joan of Depression”, the old me.

Oh my Joan, you have me in absolute stitches. You are a riot the way you go back and forth in that chair from interviewer to interview-e!! I’m splitting a gut here…aaahhhh…..I live in MN and I agree with you about fall and winter. I could live without summer and all the humidity. I love summer eating at first but how I could go for a batch of chicken noodle soup. I have to compose myself now!! You are such a dear and really add to my day.

I’m glad you enjoyed it ,Joy. Once I figure out how to edit the videos. I’m going to change T-shirts then the interviewer will be wearing one T-shirt and the interviewee will be wearing another. I know it’s hot summer here but I made beef stew in the crock pot yesterday for my son-in-law. He loved it.

The thing that totally cracks me up about your interviews with yourself is how you talk back and forth and move from each side of the desk and back. I’ll try to record my version of the wide mouth frog joke and you’ll see what I mean. You are too funny.

Oh, please do make a video of the wide mouth frog. Well, when you are alone you have to come up with some alternatives when being interviewed.

Your videos are getting addictive Joan. I am loving them!

    And you! You are gorgeous!

(BTW – Bloglines has been down & a lot of my feeds don’t seem to be working. Yours included. So many posts to catch up on. Am emailing bloglines now to get to the bottom of it)

I don’t know about gorgeous but I will be maybe, when I lose another 100 pounds. Glad you’re liking the videos.

Joan, I loved your interview with yourself, and I can’t wait for the next installment. You are so hilarious, I’m still chuckling. 😀 And here I thought you hated summer because of the dumbass seagulls, LOL. I’ve learned something new! Thanks for the giggles.

I hate summer for many reasons including the thieving seagulls. The traffic yesterday was horrifying. People were driving like maniacs. It was cloudy and they all were in their cars just driving around. At least when it is sunny they go to the beach and stay out of my way.

Oh. My. God. I am renaming you Fearless and Freaking Fun Joan! LOL. You are awesome. I now have two more books to add to my “to read” list on good reads! You are doing a great job answering these questions. I love the interviews and how you change where you are sitting depending on whether you are “being” the interviewer or the interviewee. These are a hoot. 🙂 🙂 🙂

“Make Way for Lucia” is by E.F. Benson. You can by them as 7 separate books or buy them as one which is called “Make Way for Lucia”. The first two are all about Lucia and I didn”t like them as well as the last five which have Miss Mapp in them. You don’t need to read the first two. You can start with Miss Mapp. She is hilarious. There are scenes in those books when I had to stop reading because I was laughing so hard.

I get “Sorry, this video is no longer available”.
I can hear it, but can’t see anything but black.
    BOO! 😦

Anyway, I LOVED what I heard! You are so fun!

I’m glad you got to hear it at least but if you click on it twice it will take you to You Tube and it will probably work there.

I’ll leave you a comment at your other comment.

Worked ok for me. Here’s a suggestion for future interviews: make yourself que cards, each card having one question with a few points you’d like to make or answer on, kinda like the talk show guys, Leno and Letterman.

It’s amazing how good you do with one take, so nature and comfortable. Once again, another great interview. 🙂

I need to do better with the questions. At least have the questions so I can read them. I couldn’t read my own writing. I want to forget what the questions are, which is easy for me, so that when I answer them it will be spontaneous.

I won’t do a second tape unless I’ve screwed up and not turned the camera on. I figure what you see is what you get.

Ha ha ha! I hope I can be as cool as you when I grow up. 😀 I love the way you did the back-and-forth thing, and I liked your answers.

I’m not crazy about the summer since I’ve lived in KY because it is so freaking hot and humid, but the winters aren’t as bad as they were in PA. I guess it depends where you live.

Enjoy your book! Wow, you witnessed a shooting? Scary!

Here is a link to the shooting blog I wrote in January. https://joanharvest.wordpress.com/2008/01/06/the-cop-who-got-shot-and-i-thought-it-was-fireworks/

Summer sucks big time here because of the weather, which everyone else seems to love (dumbasses), and the thieving seagulls (dumbasses), and the heavy traffic and rotten drivers (dumbasses).

I’m glad you enjoyed the video.

The picture was blacked out but the sound worked for me.
Let me know when your wish comes true about chocolate with no fat or calories! 🙂
I am an autumn person as well. Not too cold, not too hot, just right! Plus autumn seems to be a slow down time unlike spring which I think is a get up and go time of the year.

I’m glad you got to hear it but if you try again just double click on it and it will take you to You Tube and it should play there.

Autumn on the Cape is gorgeous. Fresh cranberries, pumpkins, foliage, cool nights and warm days without humidity, I love it.

You crack me up Joan. I don’t like summer either. Heat makes me stupid, and this is So. Cal so I’m stupid year round. For the record I’m your fan and your friend 😉

Fans are cool but friends are priceless. You just hit it on the nail. Summer makes me stupid. That’s brilliant. At least I don’t have to be stupid year round. 😉

Well you know they have those FF chocolates but I hear they will do the same thing to ya that the evil FF Pringles do. Some lady my mom worked with thought because they were FF she could just pop them away without the guilt. Well, after that, they didn’t see her for a while. Hah! So COOL for answering my question! Can’t wait till my mom watches your video, lol. She reads your blog too. Autumn is my fave season also. It just feels so good. I love fall and everything it brings with it. Unfortunately it brings a lot of pumpkin pie with it too. 😀 WONDERFUL interview Miss Joan!! Can’t wait for more!

Oh, I had my time with those chocolates. Actually they had fat but they used an ingredient instead of sugar to make them low carb for the Atkins diet or people with diabetes. The ingredient either sorbitol or manitol is horrible. Worse then Olean which is what is in those damn pringles.

I’m glad your mom reads my blog. Tell her to say hi.

Yes, autumn is the best. At least I have my Fat Free, low WW point pumpkin muffins.

I’m glad you enjoyed the video and your question was a good one.

That was freakin’ great, Joan! I love your interviews. You are one brave soul. I could never interview myself, I’d totally forget what I was saying or where I was going with with what was spouting out of my mouth!

OMG…you were a witness to the shooting of a police officer? EEK. I thought you lived in a nice, safe little town.

Can’t wait for the next installment.

Here is a link to the blog I did about the shooting. https://joanharvest.wordpress.com/2008/01/06/the-cop-who-got-shot-and-i-thought-it-was-fireworks/

I write down the questions ahead of time so I will forget what they are by the time I do the video. So my answers are spontaneous. It makes it easier. Then I don’t have to rehearse anything. It just feels like I am talking to myself which I do all day anyway.

    Bloody Brilliant.

Joan your brilliant. Hehe!! Laughing so much. You know ! You remind me of me but were so different but so alike in our ways. I think youve had many years of talking to yourself haven’t you, your an expert at these interviews. Yes ! I love the backward and forward thing to.

I wish for you your wishes and if you ever wanna come and spy in England in a small town with thatched cottages, I can accomodate. I can even put you in a castel like house for a night to. Smiling.

You did indeed do a great job. Loving you from England
    Di X

I love the way you say “Bloody Brilliant”. You are so right, I talk to myself all the time. I pretend I am talking to the kitties but let’s face it they don’t ever listen to me.

Someday I will get to England. You will be the first person I call. I have to save a lot of money first.

I love you to, Romi and I’ve got your back. Let’s face it, it’s the only way to fly. What with crashes and terrorists, if I go down I’d rather be wasted then I won’t give a shit.

Oh, and the video worked just fine right here on the blog.

I’m glad you liked it Sister W. Barbara and I have decided if you ever move back here we are going to officially adopt you as our sister which means I will be calling you everyday like I do Sister B, asking you “What’s happening, Whatcha doin, Can I come over for coffee, What’s Buck doin’, Just checkin’ in.” Then I’ll hang up and keep blogging.

The two faces of Joan? OMG! It’s a good thing I don’t have speakers on my work computer and I listened to this at home. I too fear heights and yes, I find that drinking heavily before flying helps. Unless there’s turbulance, then look out! I don’t worry too much about what people think of me these days either. I’ve been through some shitty stuff and unless you’re my kid or someone I care about then what you think of me is a huge waste of your time!! So there!! I believe that kind of thinking liberates us!

I never thought of it as liberating but that is so true. You can be yourself when you don’t care what other people think of you. I do care what my close family thinks of me but that’s it. Everyone else can take a hike. You either like me or you don’t. It’s your choice.

I’ve only flown in a big jet once 23 years ago. I took drugs then too. I took a couple of valium before the plane was supposed to take off. Then they announced that the plane was broke and we all had to get off. I wasted those two valium. Then they fixed the plane and had us board again. I kept thinking “What if they didn’t fix it right?” So I took two more valium.

That was so brilliant Joan, I could listen to you talk all day, 8 mins is not enough!
I thought for sure you’d wish for grandkids 😛

When I saw it was 8 minutes I thought it would be too long and everyone would get bored.

I told you I answered spontaneously and yes, I am a dumbass. Grandchildren should have been my second wish. I’ll take grandchildren over calorie free chocolate and a big house any day but not over my son finding a good life for himself.

Aren’t Mapp and Lucia great, especially Miss Mapp? I love her. I just took the book out yesterday so I can reread it again.

I loved that, Joan! You have a fun, mischievous smile! And I love your accent. (I know, you would say, “What accent, Laura-from-Virginia? You’re the one with the *freakin’* accent!”

Fall, fall, fall, autumn, autumn, autumn — my favorite time of year, too! I walk the dog on the trail through the woods in the mornings, and I rejoice at every red or yellow leaf I see these days. It looks like it might be an early fall here.

Have you been to Wales? There are tons of castles and small towns there. OH! Joan! “I Capture the Castle”! Seen the movie? Read the book? Trust me — you will love it!

When I listen to myself now even I have to agree I have some sort of strange accent. Ha! Ha!
Autumn, Fall, call it what you want but I love it.

I’ve only been to Florida once. That’s the extent of my travels. Wales sounds so beautiful. I wouldn’t be too fussy either: Wales , England, Scotland, New Zealand, I’d go anywhere, flying drunk all over the world.

I will look into the book/movie “I Capture the Flag”. I don’t think I have read the book or seen the movie. I am always looking for a good read or good movie.

When are we going to the beach?

I forgot to wish for grandchildren. I’d give up the chocolate for grandchildren. I never thought of the Gemini thing with the two of me. Ha! Ha!.

I’m serious, I would love to go to the beach with you. I’ll make lunch. I’m free anytime after Tuesday.

    Oh Joan !! Funny.

I’m trying to interview myself with the questions you gave me. I’ve not put the video thingy on,on the camera as I don’t know how to work it. I’m going to ask my daughter today. Were taking Oliver to the beach. We have some great shots of me and him last week at the beach. Shush !! I may sneak them on my blog.

I’ve never worked a video thingy before but I wish I had this interview that I have just done with myself on a video thingy. I actualy ended up in tears coz I couldn’t stop talking and YOU being the interviewer had to consol me.

OMG!! To funny. I can’t wait to start.

    Loving you Joan
