Webcam Junkie

I went to see “Batman The Dark Night” today with the kids at the Imax theater.  Then we went to Applebee’s Restaurant where they sell Weight Watcher meals and  I had a great steak/portobello mushrooms,  potatoes & broccoli dinner for 7 points . I wrote the following last night knowing I would be gone for the day.  I will comment on comments tomorrow and visit everyone. BTW, the movie was great.

Besides being a Blog Addict I am a web cam junkie.  I thought I would hook you up with some of my favorite web cams.  None of them are porn cams. Sorry!!

Africam has two live streaming web cams at waterholes and if you’re lucky you’ll see live action of elephants, lions, etc. They also have several cams that update every 30 seconds.

The Times Square cam site has a lot of cams in NYC.  I once saw my daughter on one of them when she visited NYC for a business meeting.

This is a bar in Key West.  I once saw my son and my wasband on the cam there when they visited Key West both looking for women. Ha! Ha! Damon was waving at me.

This hooks you up to some web cams on Cape Cod.  You can see the traffic on one of the two bridges that connect you to the Cape.  The bridges that I rarely traverse.

This cam is in Wales, Alaska and is only 55 miles from mainland Russia.  It’s the closest place from mainland USA to mainland Russia. You also can control the camera. The camera faces Russia.

The actual closest we get to Russia is the Little Diomede Island which is owned by the US and is 2.4 miles from Big Diomede Island which is owned by Russia.

If you wait until the time they say you will see bats flying out of the bathouse.  I think they are all Vampires.  So this is not for the feint of heart.

I’ve never gotten into the webcams (but they sound really cool), probably because I rarely have a good enough connection. 😐 Oh well. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the movie. 🙂

Webcams are fun. We all no I like to spy. It’s sort of like spying. The movie was awesome especially in an Imax theater. Because I am disabled they let us into the theater first and we got our choice of seats. My daughter said she is never going to an Imax theater without me again.

I wish there was an Applebee’s restaurant here! Would be awesome to go out for dinner and no have to worry about points 😉

Glad you enjoyed the movie – it is good to read a review from someone else because we are going this Friday night for hubby’s birthday!

Unfortunately the Applebee’s is about 1 1/2 hours from our house so I don’t get to go to often. We all loved the movie. It was awesome In an Imax theater.

Wait, more about Batman – wasn’t it GREAT? I saw Mamma Mia today and LOVED IT! And, have you ever checked out the webcam for the Lockness Monster in Scotland?

We loved Batman. It was really great. I wasn’t sure if I would like Mamma Mia because it was a musical. Maybe I’ll have to give it a try. You know I think I have checked out the Loch Ness cam but not for a long while. I’ll have to check it again.

I was on in time to see the bats come out…COOL!! That is awesome about seeing your family on cams far away. Better than a postcard! I recently went to Sioux Falls and was gonna try to do the same thing with my mom cause they have a good web cam going but unfortunately she was at work while we were there. Gonna go watch the bats some more, enjoy the movie!!

I always try to find a cam whenever the kids travel. My son is in Alaska for a few weeks but I haven’t been able to find a cam yet because he keeps moving around. The movie was great. I’m glad you got to see the bats.

Well I just checked them all out… I was 20 minutes early to see the bats come out… and I waited. and waited. and waited. and saw nothing. I just checked back and I can see them fluttering about but I was disappointed with the take off. I laughed pretty hard at the Key west bar though… some people clearly don’t know they are even on the cam. DUMBASSES. Did you ever see that commercial? The guy is interviewing for Dumbass & Dumbass and he just keeps saying “Oh I’d love to work for dumbass and dumbass, i’d be such a great dumbass employee…”etc… and then finally the interviewer stands up and says “The name… is DO-MASS” LOL. Such a great commercial but i don’t know what it was for. LOl….

    okay i’m out

That bar is where I saw my son when he visited Key West. He was talking to me on his cell phone as I am watching him on the computer. I’ve never seen that commercial but I sure would like to.

I’ve never really looked at webcams but I will be sure to now. Thanks. I’ll let you know more after I look at them.

I want to see that movie too.

If you go to they have tons of links to cams all over the world. The movie was awesome.

This is SO cool!! I never even thought about webcams before!! Suddenly I’m thinking of googling a webcam for a certain place so I can potentially look at someone I’m trying to stalk (WHAT!??!?! Hahahaha..JUST JOKING OF COURSE 😉 )

OMG, you and web cams. That’s perfect. Romi by day–web cam stalker by night!!! I’m not joking. 😉 They have cams everywhere, in restaurants, bars. You could just go out in your car with a laptop, check out all the web cams in your area for hot guys and then just show up where ever they are. But then you might get carried away and addicted to it and have to attend web cam stalkers anonymous- WCSA. 😉

Wow– how cool! I lived in a town that had tons of bats– they were all vampires, I’m sure of it, and many of them were my neighbors. 🙂

I can’t WAIT to see The Dark Knight! Sounds like you all had fun!

I don’t remember if I ever told this story but I swear to God it is true. My sister was reading Bram Stoker’s Dracula and a bat flew into the glass of her bedroom window. She freaked.

The Dark Knight was awesome. We had a great time.

And who is that bikini babe in your side bar? Soon, you’ll look like this again!

I don’t know if I’ll ever look quite like that without plastic surgery but hopefully I’ll look like a healthy person for my age. I will be happy with that.

Hi, just dropped in after reading your interview with Anonymum.

Dark Knight was totally sold out when I tried to see it in Australia.

I am really looking forward to seeing it.

We had to get tickets ahead of time online and because I am disabled they let us in first and we got to pick out our seats. It was a packed house. The movie was great and worth going to.
    Thanks for stopping by.

I looked at the bar one. I wonder if they post a sign saying people are watching. Can you imagine someone watching you eat? Even worse, go in on two legs and stumble out on all fours. LOL!

Nowadays you never know where there is a web cam. They are everywhere. I don’t think I would like being watched while I eat or do anything else for that matter. But I love watching them myself. I actually love the Africam the best. I have been watching that one for about 10 or 11 years. I have seen so many different animals there. I can’t afford to go on Safari so this is better than nothing.

i’m checking your recommended webcams now, i’m quite excited with Africam. 🙂

Africam is my favorite one. When it first came out about 10 or 11 years ago I would watch it for hours. That was before blogging. Now I just blog for hours.

Saw The Dark Knight tonight— wowee!

I love Christian Bale. When he was 13 in 1987 he did a movie called “Empire of the Sun”. I would highly recommend it. It takes place in Japan at the beginning of World War 2 and is one of my favorite movies.

Wow! That is so cool that you saw Damon and Sarah on webcams. I can’t believe it. 😯

There is a webcam for watching retired and rescued elephants at and that’s the only one I’ve ever watched. We use our webcam to talk to our relatives in Japan and Peru using Skype. It is wonderful to see how our nieces and nephews are growing and see their pets and what not.

I’ll have to check elephant cam out. That’s great to have a web cam to talk to your relatives and be able to see them especially the kids because they grow so fast. Damon is in Alaska right now for a few weeks but I haven’t found a cam in any of the towns he has been in.
